Hello's
The environ is Exchange 2003 SP2 same admin group. I'm migrating mailboxes
from one server to another server. When the mailbox is moved it takes close to
30 mins if not longer for the mailbox to become accessible again. Is there
anything i can do to speed up the mailbox becoming accessible after the
migration?
thanks
Sky.

Are users and mailbox server in the same AD Site?
Post-mailbox move, this should be possible if the relevant user attributes
are replicated to the DC client computers connect to.

Yes, users and servers are in the same site. After a move, the Exchange tool
gives a success. However, the users cannot access their mailboxes. Outlook
even reports an error stating there may be communication problems with the
exhange server to wait for 30 mins.

Have you run DCDIAG and NETDIAG on the DC to see if it shows anything? Can
they login through OWA during this 30 minute time?

The only reason that would happen is Active Directory replication delays.

Its typically due to replication and Outlook rules which have to
reconsolidated for lack of a better word.
Add IM Name to Active Directory Exchange Server In Outlook, each contact has an "IM Address" field. Where do I enter this field in Active Directory? I do not see this field in the tabs of the user object. Distribution group in GAL but not Active Directory? Exchange Server I can see a distribution group in the GAL called Retail SAAs in the GAL from Outlook 2003, but it does not seem to exist in Active Directory. I opened it up and it has not email address and no members. What is going on? We run Windows 2003 with Exchange 2003. Am I supposed to have an Exchange tab in Active Directory Users and Computers? Exchange Server I thought there was supposed to be a tab called Exchange in Active Directory Users and Computers. I have an Exchange 2007 server. I installed Exchange and later installed the Admin tools that include Active Directory Users and Computers. When I open Active Directory Users and Computers on the server there is no Exchange tab. On my XP Pro
