Hi all,
I just installed August 2004 Exchange 2000 Server Post-Service Pack 3 Update
Rollup to my exchange 2000 SP3 server but the build number remains the same
6249.4 instead to become 6603 as specifies KB at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/158530.
What is wrong?
Any hint is welcomed
Thanks in advance
Sammy

Where are you checking that?
I dont think ESM shows post SP build numbers. Check the version on the
updated files.

Infact I see all the public folders in public folder store within ESM but no folder structure under "Folders" in ESM at all. If I expand "Folders", there is only one default folder however if I exchg srvpack2 if I do not find Thanks for your help. . . Are you sure that ESM's public folder management is connected to the correct server? - - Ed Crowley MVP . How did yes, PFDAVAdmin is great as well. When I right click on Folders / Public folders in ESM, I see "connect to" option which shows me my server name under available public stores. Maybe I need to connect it and then check again for "Manage" option in ESM folders. It seems to be the solution of the problem but I will post back of them did not work : Option1: Even I right click and select "connect" Folders in ESM to my exchange server public store but still they do not show up under the "Folders" hirarchy, however all my public folders are visible in Public folder store within ESM as well as from outlook under "All public folders". Not sure why Manage option is
the icon to check properties. hmmm. . .something must have changed. . .are you looking at the ESM right on the server? what happens if you install the ESM on a remote workstation? same result? - - Susan Conkey [MVP] Yes, Though I do not know saying you do not see the stuff no matter on which machine you run the ESM? - -- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP = A0 = A0 [ snip ] I will reboot the machine now and if I do not see the virtual server in ESM i will install ESM on another machine. See if it shows up in adsieidt, possibly permissions error. I would first go with installing ESM on another machine, I have seen this before where some icons were missing and reinstalling ESM fixed it. If not I would investigate permissions using adsiedit. anyone help me? Here's what I've tried: I've refreshed the view in ESM I've created new polices to see if they show (they don't). I've checking the other Exchange server(s) now. Thank you again. Okay when I open up ESM on the other Exchane servers, and check "recipient policies" they all look fine there too that you say you've created new policies and they don't show up in ESM (you don't say whether the can be see with LDP or ADSIEdit) leads me do you have more than one AD forest that's accessible? And are you running ESM on an Exchange server or from a workstation? IOW, is it possilbe you're looking see where you're going. We have only a single forest, and i'm running ESM on the server. Also, I must have mis-stated before but when I create a new policy it does show up in ESM, it just doesn't seem to show up in the post-mbox-processing report I policies except two, then ran "update now" and "rebuild" from the RUS (domain) object in ESM. Then I went into the adsiedit and drilled down (through the domain continer) into user
an uninstall from the Exchange disk? Exchange Admin Discussions Vista (1) Manangement (1) Installl (1) ESM (1) Does what include ESM? Exchange System Management Tools. Is that the same thing or is ESM something seperate. When you install Exchange there is an option to installl the Exchange System Management tools. Does that mean ESM or are there other tools installed? Yes, its the same thing. When you install Exchange, ESM is part of it. That's the management console. This new one is just the management console for Vista. Ok. I have a corrupt ESM so I wanted to uninstall it and reinstall it, but it has to be done not remember needing the disk, but it is been a while since I have uninstalled ESM. What happens when you try to uninstall it? Missy keywords: Exchange, System, Manangement, Tools?? description
