Entourage 2008 Web Services edition is your best option for now. It is a
sort-of Outlook Anywhere.
You will be able to use Entourage 2008 to received and send email from
on-the-road locations to your Exchange Network since Entourage communicates
over http ports. However, your network firewall will prevent address
directory lookups (LDAP being blocked by your firewall probably by default).
If you wanted to be able to browse/access your company global address block
you would have to work your System people on providing LDAP connectivity.
VPN is one solution. Another would be some type of selective firewall rule
changes.
