Exchange Server - Exchange Clustering.

Asked By Dave on 12-Apr-10 05:54 AM
Hi,

In Exchange 2010 to cluster Servers you can use Exchange Standard and
Enterprise Windows 2008 as Windows now handles the clustering. What is it
with Exchange 2007, is the principal exactly the same or is Exchange
Enterprise required and Enterprise Windows 2008.

Appreciate any help on this.

D.

With Exchange 2007 you need to specifically set up the clustering,
either for CCR or SCC. In Exchange 2010 you do not need to touch or
install anything - outside of installing Windows 2008 Enterprise
rather than Standard of course!
The level of abstraction makes life for inexperienced administrators a
heck of a lot easier.
