Exchange Server - adding single e2k7 server to single server e2k3 organization

We are running windows 2003 server based domain with a single e2k3 sp2
server. I have just installed e2k7 on a new server but have some issues.
First, when going through the Finalize Deployment steps, I get to the
distribution, the "Enable web-based distribution" option is grayed out. How
do I enable this option?
Second, when I either create a new user/mailbox on the e2k7 server or move
an existing mailbox to the new server, I can send external email but cannot
send or receive internal email (the e2k3 server is still the inbound SMTP
server). I assume this is related to the first problem I mentioned with the
OAB.
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Make sure that the 2007 server is configured as the OAB server,
Is there a routing group connector created between the 2 systems? (there
should be one)
Mezl replied...
Thanks for your help. No there wasn't a routing group connector. I guess I
just assumed it was created during install and never double checked it.
Also, the OAB was on the old server. I created a new OAB on the e2k7 server
and was able to setup web-based distribution.
Thanks again,

Exchange 2007 & Outlook 2007 autodiscover service Exchange Server Hi, I believe I have a pretty good handle on how the autodiscover service works it successfully gives the right configuration for the various Exchange web services (availability service, OOF, OAB and Unifed Messaging service) and they all work fine. Outlook Anywhere even works correctly (as configured by the autodiscover service). These services are all published of each of the Exchange web services. If I choose the "test autoconfiguration" option in Outlook 2007 I can see that these are all set correctly. My issue is that my these services to the internet using basic authentication. What I do not understand is why Outlook 2007 is ever trying to access the external versions of the various Exchange web service the internal autodiscover service. No credential prompt happens at this stage. Surely the fact that Outlook has successfully found the SCP entry in Active Directory should tell it that it is currently for each of the Exchange web services? However, once Outlook receives the URLs from the autodiscover service it now tries to access the external versions

Exchange 2007 in a domain using Kerberos Realm authentication Exchange Server I have Exchange 2007 SP1 running in a coexistent environment with Exchange 2003 SP2, both single-server setups. Using Outlook 2007 with a user logged on to Windows as REALM \ user things break. Specifically: - Outlook 2007 cannot access the autodiscover service. I think this happened when I added the SSL can see this by running the "Test Email Autoconfiguration" tool and getting "Autodiscover to https: / / server.domain.com / Autodiscover / Autodiscover.xml FAILED (0x80040113)" in the log. - Outlook 2007 keeps prompting for username / password.
